Thanks for the ideas guys. I will talk to a mate of mine about replacing the coil with a conventional auto one (to make sure I get it right). It would seem the cheapest and most reliable option around. Hopefully soon the beast will be running again...<br /><br />Thanks again<br /><br />Gordon

Before you use a conventional coil, be sure the point gap setting on that exact engine is spec'd between .17-.20 If not, you may want to consider old style electronic ignition modified for points....
