My engine has exhaust coming up through the tube that the transmission wires use to get to the lower unit, this causes poor running.
Last time I had it apart I greased the "fat" part of the wire loom to slide it up.
I don't want to tear this apart again, everything old and fragile.
Is there a way to seal this from the top, I can isolate the 3 wires coming out of the bundle.
Is there some kind of sealant I can apply to seal the hole at the top or slide something down the wires to fix this?
