I have a 71 evinrude 33hp that has had the carb. rebuilt. It will idle fine but has trouble when I try to give it gas, it acts like it is not getting any. I can squeeze the primer bulb and it will run fine for a while but always goes back to same problems. I was wondering if this sounds like a carb. fuel pump or gas line problem. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Fuel pump! But is the fuel tank vent open? Just in case it's not?

I feel really dumb all of a sudden , is an omc tank supposed to be partailly open during operation?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I'm missing power but lack actual hunting bogging etc and I am certain my pump is good

yes vent needs to be open during operation. Primer will only get hard when you first pump everything up. At that point after fuel pump takes over and squeeze bulb will get soft. But if you still have to pump bulb back up in order to get HIGH RPMS, look in to fuel pump.
