I have a 71 7.5 merc that has good spark at idle, but fades out when the throttle is advanced to the start position, and then returns around 1/2 throttle and is good to wot. The ignition coils test good, the wireing is good, points and insulator blocks are new. I replaced the stator with a used one on ebay that worked fine for about 3 minutes, and it us doing the same thing. When I originally tested the new stator it had spark in the start position but not as strong. When I test the voltages at the coils, there is no change in voltage when advancing the throttle through the range. I have tested the primary side with a high voltage leak tester and everything is tight, no leaks to ground. I have read that some people think it might be a bad stator coil but I have not been able to find resistance specifications, . Any suggestions
