Hello All....
1985 Evinrude 70 hp ,having problems with throttle response.Motor starts right up and revs up if I lift the choke lever, when I put it in gear and advance the throttle it will bog down and die out unless I pull back on the throttle,I push down and back off numerous times then the boat will pick up speed and run like a champ until I back down on the throttle again and it starts all over again.
Will idle and troll all day long, problem only occurs when I advance the throttle.....
To date I have :
replaced vro pump with standard pump
replaced portable gas tank, vent is open
ran undiluted seafoam through carbs(full can to 1 gallon gas and idle for 30 minutes)
checked all gas lines at carbs
new gas filter
Any other ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.......Thanks
