70 HP Yamaha OB on a 73 Starcraft 18' Bowrider

How is the performance.

I am considering this but am nervous it might be underpowered then.

Welcome to iboats.
IMO, that is a lot of boat for the 70.
Being a '73 model boat, it prolly is a little heavier now being 34 years old and that will work against the 70 also.

I have an 85 on my 16' Starcraft and it is the maximum HP for the boat. It goes well but I wouldn't call it a speed demon. That 70 on an 18' would probably be a dog.
