I had a blown head Gasket. The compressions good but what about water damage? The engine runs good and has good power, but sounds loud and different.

How would you know if bearings were damaged from water?

Is there anything that can be done other than hope it does not throw a rod?

What year is the motor? There really isn't any way to tell if there is water damage (pitting or rust) on the internals unless you pull apart the powerhead and look for yourself.

Make sure you use a good quality TCW3 2 stroke oil and that it always gets at least 50:1 fuel/oil mix. Make sure that all 3 cyls are getting fuel and not running lean.

Apart from that, get yourself an OMC service manual and pull that motor apart to inspect the internals.

Cheers
