I have a 70 HP Chrysler outboard and need help/ input on timing the engine. I do have the manual but am confused on the wording. There are two points on the fly wheel.... 0 and 36. On the top of the distributor there is a line with a dash. First question: does the 0 or 36 need to be lined up between the -4 and -2 stationary marks in front of the fly wheel? Question 2: Does the dash line on the distributor need to be lined up a certain way and if so can I just pull the belt off the distributor and move the fly wheel to the right spot with the distributor and put the belt back on?
