6hp only runs on full

[diggers problem]

hello.. first time on this forum. I have a problem with my 1978 6hp evin.the motor runs very good on full wideopen throttle, the second you try to throttle it down it dies. can anybody help???the crappies will biting up here soon.

carb was rebuilt this week motor still runs the same
