6hp nissan 4stroke

Hi I am a large guy, I have a 2012 nissan 6hp 4stroke outboard and a 14 foot aluminum princecraft boat. Most of my family are around the 200 pound range and I'm 300+pounds. I usually only go out with max 2 other people. I have yet to use this motor on my boat because I just got it from a friend. I am wondering if it will get me and others up on plane or what I can do to have this motor work for us. I use it on last mountain lake in saskatchewan and want to be able to get home if the weather turns on us.
