Can anyone tell me what the head torque should be on a 67' 6hp Johnson? Also where can I find a PDF of power unit breakdown? Thanks Skullbone

Re: 6hp head torque

60-80 in/lbs (5-6.5 ft/lbs) for the head bolts. It's recommended you chase the bolt holes out with a tap first since they tend to crud-up. Re-torque them at after their first good heat up - they will turn a little further and stop leaking.

There's no breakdown pictures anywhere online. A manual will have a picture though. For that year Johnny/Rude, I really prefer the Seloc aftermarket manual to anything else. OEM manuals are available from kencook.com or ebay. Aftermarket books are available hear at iboats.
The manual is really useful to have - I'm sure you'll wish you had gotten one earlier.

Good luck!
