we just finished fixing the wires going to the electronic shifter they were really bad. now when we try to start it we get no spark and it keeps blowing fuses when we put it in gear. it is a 55h outboard.

Did the engine run before you changed this wires ?<br />Try dissconnecting the new wires ,when it blows fuses something is casing a short in the circut .<br /><br />You shuld get yourself a manual/shematic . <br /> Ken Cook Co manuals
