Yah, I wouldn't bother putting a motor on that transom till it's rebuilt man. The risk is too great.

Great looking Easter Lamb! A message from above When you get back from church and giving thanks....... I agree you should change the transom. Interesting bow modification too.

Looks like I've got 6hrs work ahead of me. That is after I find a thread on removing the cap. I've been out voted.

I picked this up yesterday. Mercury 50hp. The guy rebuilt it, then hooked up the cables backwards. Now no spark..he said. I haven't tried anything with it yet.

Nice chopper by the way, too.

Those caps, you just drill the heads off the rivets and they come off. One thing I did when I did mine boat, was take lots of photo's on the tear down. It helped me when I had to put it al back together again.

^^Then there's a thin strip nailed on. And a lot of screws to remove. When it warms up, 32* now, I'm going out to tear into it.
