can someone please tell me what the gas oil mix ratio should be? i have gas 50:1 right now but she really wants to smoke alot

50:1 is correct. It will smoke less with full synthetic 2-cycle oil (still @ 50:1)

I am willing to bet when it is all said and done that your oil requirement will be 50:1, but just to let you know there were no 9.9Hp Evinrudes made in 1968. If it is a fat looking motor, then it is a 9.5Hp. If you reply with your model number we can tell you exactly what you have.

50:1 for anything after 1963.

50:1 equates to: One pint (TCW-3 rated outboard oil) to six gallins of 87 octane fuel.

Higher octane serves NO purpose and actually builds depoits in the engine.
