when i turn the key to start the started turns the engine about one revolution the disengages and the starter just spins freely is the starter shot or what?
Sounds like either a run down battery,loose connections from battery to or from the solenoid to starter motor,loose ground,or simply a bendix shaft in need of lubrication.Worst case scenario ,,a bad starter.
