With the shaft nut just finger tight and lock ttab released, you will insert a large screwdriver through a 3/4" box end wrench and into the slot on the end of the srarter shaft and wind the rope back into the housing then 1 to 1 1/2 turns to preload the rewind spring, then make sure one of the tabs line up with the hole in the bonnet and tighten the lock nut, check for proper operation and bend one tab up to lock the nut.
