Was Key Ignition. The wires were falling apart. I am converting to a tiller and push button start. Wires are confusing me. I diagram would help. Does anyone know where I can get one. Please. Or an easy way to get it started and stopped.

Check your local libary. Most of them in Minnesota have the aftermarket repair manual for outboards. You'll find a wiring diagram in there.

If your local library doesn't have it, they can request it from one of the Twin Cities libraries and it'll be there in a week or less.

Even better, buy the thing, so you'll have it for other stuff you'll be working on on that outboard.

Easiest way to start it is to isolate the two black wires used for stoping the engine (connecting them together kills spark), then run jumper cables to the starter or pull it over with a rope.
Connect the jumper cables to the starter first so you don't mess up it's threads when it arcs.
