65 Starflite 90s not restarting

I have a 65 Starflite 90s and it seems to run good when I first start it. It has spark and excellent compression. I checked the fuel pump and I'm not sure how much fuel should pump out when I'm cranking the motor, but I don't think it is pumping enough. When I go out and run the boat I can run for a while on half to full throttle, when I throttle down the motor stalls and will not restart for at least half and hour. Then the motor will run as before. When I am cranking on the motor it seems like it is not getting enough fuel. What is anyone's thoughts on what might be going on here. Thank you.

Your problem, if you haven't fixed it yet, may very well be electrical. I had the same symptoms with a '64 model 90s. like you, I thought fuel immediately, but it turned out to be the ignition coil, which would fail when it got hot, and then start working again when cooled. I replaced the stock coil with a performance automotive type (MSD), doubleing the output. I made new plug wires from stainles steel core racing wire, to handle the increased output, and had to fab the ends that screw into the distributor cap. But it was worth the trouble as it starts immediately and gets WAY better milage and power to boot! I changed the plugs to the "surface gap" type, (autolite #2634), to handle the hotter spark. I also took off the stock fuel pump, pluged the vacum line, and replaced it with a universal electric pump, also from an auto parts store, mounted it outside the motor housing, near the tank and wired in a toggle switch mounted on the dash. These upgrades, which include leaning the main jets from 70 to 67.5, using Amsoil 100 to 1 synthetic outboard oil, bumping the full throttle timing a few degrees, and taking out the thermostat, make this 40+ yr. old V-4 do at half throttle what it used to take full throttle to acomplish! Your motor has only one coil to opperate 4 cylinders firing on every stroke which is a lot of work and when they get older, they will tend to heat up and fail, but when cooled may start to work again. This is one of the reasons newer motors have one coil per cylinder. The new after market performance coils are liquid cooled, which helps solve this problem. Hope this helps, it did for me.
