Hello, While on the lake the other day, I noticed a rattle coming from the fly wheel. After getting it home, I pulled the recoil. When I pulled it off, their was a "washer like" peice on top of the fly wheel. I was thinking this sheered off from the recoil. Is this correct ? If so what is it's perpose ? The motor is still functioning properly. Should I replace the recoil assembly ? Thanks to any one who can help. I'm waiting on a manual.

Can't imagine what washer looking piece you are talking about. Can you post a picture?

Ok, I looked up some pic's of other recoils. Just as I thought, it broke off the recoil wheel. I also found the retaining wires broke up down around the power head. It's not a washer, not sure what it's called. It's the little round peice (about 1 1/2)that is bolted to the recoil wheel. I'll check my local dealer and see if they have it, and the little paw wires. If I can't get the wires on through photo's online, I will post a new thread. Thanks.
