Down to the last minute I figgered the fuel pump was OK, maybe just gunked up like the carb was before I rebuilt it. Well...it ain't. The diaphragm is shot. $80-$100 to replace the whole shootin' match UNLESS...some charitable soul out there has one layin' around that needs to go to to a good home. Heck, all I really need is the diaphragm! This is truly the last item left in the refurb of a classic 1962 10hp SportTwin. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Call Tim's outboard with the model number of your motor. They likely have a used one pretty cheap, and quick shipping. 218-682-2331

I would tell them to take a walk. I've never paid that kind of money for a fuel pump. Even a brand new one.:eek:

If they don't have what you need, then call Sea-Way Marine, in Seattle or Engine Blade and Prop. Either of these two places should have rebuild kits for yours, or even a later style replacable one. You should easily be able to get a brand new fuel pump for about 50 bucks. Last summer, I bought one for a 9.5, for about that.
