Hey all,
Close to finishing the rebuild on a 10hp 'Rude. There are 2 adjustment knobs on the front of the motor. One is labeled Hi speed, with numbers on it, and rich - lean on either side. The other is a lever labeled Lo speed. It only travels 180deg and it too has rich and lean at either end of it's travel. Parts diagram shows them as hi and low speed needle valves. Figgered that. What is a reasonable position to turn them out to start the motor to do a tank tune before putting it in the water under load for the final tune? Model is 10024 B.

Great board here. I found more than enough info to get me through the rebuild successfully. 'Cept this issue.

Go 3/4 on the high speed. 1.5 out on the low. Disconnect the metal bar going to the low speed and fine tune until you find the spot, center the adjusting knob and replace the bar going to the low speed. You may have to remove and reattach the plastic piece on the slow speed needle to get everything to line up.
