Hi folks,<br />I own a Merc 60 , 6hp o/b ser# 1488047 which has a peculiar problem. These are the symptoms:<br /> -starts and idles O.K.<br /> -runs in gear at idle or just up ¼ speed<br /> -stalls after additional throttle is applied<br /><br />I have checked the gas, gas tank, hose and fittings. I removed, disassembled, cleaned and reassembled carburetor. Checked fuel pump diaphragm and it still stalls. <br />I mostly use this motor as a kicker and for trolling. Other than a broken-off gear shifter, it has been a good fishing companion for me and my dad as I grew up. I don’t want part with it just yet.<br />Thanks for any help you could give me. <br />
