60 hp Johnson won’t idle

basic carb with orifices rather than needles ... same basics & needs to be cleaned at the very least since we do not know how far the seller went to clean the carbs.

see the same type to top side dime size plugs over the idle chamber . orificescan be cleaned out with a small diameter mono line ....

I have opened and cleaned every lil and big hole that carbs has including that lil jet where it spits sprinkles of gas when reved up

What numbers are on the tag on the upper carburetor ?----What number is on the high speed jet ( orifice plug ) inside the carburetor bowl. ?-----Carburetors do not appear to have slow speed mixture adjustment feature.----The idle air jet seems to have been tampered with and abused !

Without a serial/ model number tag, how did yiu get a title/ registration??

Because registration is for boats not engine the vin tag for the boat got taken of too but I can actually read that 1 and verify is the actual boat

Your motor is perhaps an 85 model or newer and 60 / 70 HP.---Perhaps had automatic oil injection that has been removed.-----Fuel pump is not mounted correctly.----So simply ignore my advice in post #7-----

Hmm that’s interesting and yeah fuel pump getting moved around is just like that since I did fuel line again and since I was messing around there never placed it

I believe the motor is NOT running on all 3 cylinders !------It sounds awful to me.-----I am not looking for the number of the carburetor bowl !!----Read carefully-----The number on that metal tag is ???----The number on the high speed jet ( orifice plug ) is ????----Read the questions and answer if you are looking for help.----Do some trouble shooting .----Do not run engine the way it is now.----Find out and correct what is wrong.----Install a new impeller before launching the boat again.-----Good luck.-----I think I might step aside for now.

.I see 2 different numbers posted for that tag----I can not put my hands on your motor.-----Compression seems low.----Test with another gauge.---Good luck with it.

Ahhhh. In my state, everything needs a title and registration. Gotta keep those free handouts commin !

In Washington state no titles for motors either.

I agree motor is not running on all 3 cylinders. Check spark as well.

The carb number he wants is on this tag.
