New guy here but not new to boats. had many over the years. I got 91 johnson 60 hp on my basstracker. has good compression, even on all cylinders. it starts okay when cold but after its run for about 10 minutes or so and left sitting a little bit it gets hard to start. I always have to put it in fast idle and prime it to start it then it will go. Sometimes it will cut back off and have to do the sequence over again. usually it will cut off trying to load it on trailer and have to do start over again. The carbs have been rebuilt and ignition coils tested good. It runs great at wot but not so good at idle speeds. It did have vro but I disconnected it and removed entire pump and went to new fuel pump about 4 years ago. Any help greatly appreciated. Great site here, lots of good info and if I can help someone out I will be glad to. John

IS the primer bulb soft when this happens? If so, you need a new one.

no. should have said I have replaced all the fuel lines and primer bulb and changed filter on water seperator.I also have a inline glass fuel filter located in fuel line just before the fuel pump.
