Love this site. New member first post. Here goes.
Just purchased a 59 10 hp seahorse. Qd-20. Coils were shot so I pulled the flywheel and replaced coils,condensers,points,ect..... new plugs too. turned flywheel by hand and she has spark again! Got it all back together and gave it a quick test pull and she started up. Success! Need to tune it in yet but am afraid to run it more than "moments" because I do not have a manual and am not sure what the flywheel torque setting for my engine is. I just got it good and tight. After reading the many warnings about this I want to get it right as to not damage my motor. Im guessing the flywheel torque setting is 45lb but am not sure. Would someone please provide this for me so I can have confidence that its correct? Thanks in advance.
Btw. The information that I have gained from this site has been invaluable. Thanks to all for sharing your experience and knowledge.
