Have 59 Evinrude 4 cylinder with belt driven distributor, Model # V4SL-11, need to know how to set points, also where to buy parts, all help appreciated
Howdy, Earlybird.<br /><br />My manual on the similar Johnson model says to set both sets of points at .020.<br /><br />You really need a manual to work on that ignition system. Try your local library.<br /><br />For parts that your Evinrude/Johnson dealer cannot supply, try Twin Cities Outboard in Minneapolis.<br /><br />Red sky at night. . .<br />JB
