My Lark that I'm restoring had a pretty ground up skeg. The lower unit on the left is off a '56 30 HP Johnson (next project!) and is for shape reference. I had my brother build up some aluminum on the bottom to get a rough profile, then I went to work with the file and sandpaper, and then finally sand blasted to even everything out.

What do you think?

Very nice, I love knowing how to weld, it comes in handy all the time.

Just rebuilt a prop last week and I have redone my skeg also.

Nice. I've got 3 or 4 in the shop with bad feet...when can you and your bro come visit and set them right? I'll buy the beverages.

How about if we take a "down payment" on the beverages??? :)
