Hello,<br />I have a 55HP Wards Sea King (Made by Chrysler) That I finally got to run this weekend. Seems as though some wires were disconected under the flywheel. Anyway, I got this baby to start and runs just fine. But it only runs with a little throttle. When I put the throttle back down to get it in gear it kills. I want to know if this is a linkage problem or should I be looking at adjustig the carb? This is my 1st boat, so I don't really know what I'm doing yet. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

rebuilding hte carb is not hard. You can get the kit from NAPA auto parts for about $15.00. I'd try that.

If you have a Tillotson carb, Lightly turn the mixture screw clockwise till it seats. CCW the screw about 1 1/2 turns. Then fine tune it from there. Your idle speed adjustment is a screw with jamnut on the throttle towershaft.
