50 or 60 Merc?

Is there any reason not to go with a 60 vs. a 50 Merc other than $$? Weight and dimension are virtually the same. This would be for a Klamath 16' Windshield (535 lbs).

As long as the boat is rated for the 60HP, the only thing is price

My personal rule of thumb is always go with the biggest motor you're rated for. You don't have to use the extra horse power all the time but it's always safer to have it in reserve for times when you might need it. :)

Looks like it will be the 60. With the expanding girth of my buddies more is better. Thanks for the reply.
