Hello guys! well the other day the motor left me 6 miles away from the ramp... not a fun day...
it was running fine, then i stopped to fish a spot, when I was ready to move the motor would not want to start back up... tried all I could in the water until i used up my battery... thanks to a couple that was nice enough to tow me back...
any ways, got back home trouble shot it. gas was fine, so no problem there. i took out the spark plug and grounded them to see if there was a spark when cranking and only one cylinder showed a spark,(very weak too) my taught is to see a healthy spark. the rest just nothing... changed the plugs and still nothing.
I was looking up on the web and notice some one said it could be the stator. can any one tell me a way to test the stator or should I start testing/trouble shooting other stuff first?
any thoughts would be greatly appreciate!
