...I had the engine wide open @ 5,100 RPM for about 2 minutes...hit a large jelly fish,(my buddy checked for "bits and pieces" of the jelly and couldn't stop laughing!)lost forward power @ any RPM above 1900. Engine runs fine, engages forward and reverse, but no forward or reverse movement if RPM increases above 1900 RPM. I imagine I busted the clutch or stripped (partial)a prop shaft.Manually turning the prop reveils a slight "offset" "wobble"(bent?)Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Chris in Florida

It sounds like you bent your lower unit drive shaft due to the wobble of the prop as you turn it. Don't run until you have this checked out, most likely your seal around the drive shaft is no longer keeping water out. Drain and check lower geer lube to see if there is water in the lower unit. Just a guess from your description of the problem. Good Luck!!
