I check all the sparkplugs every preparing the engine for winter storage.

Same I also do a compression test & oil analysis. If there’s sodium in the oil from salt water cooling you’ll know it that way for sure.

Forgot to add that I use an inspection camera to check for internal leaks in the manifold to elbow gasket. This saves a lot of time if you have no sign of leaks from the outside…
