Looking if someone could confirm the length of the starter bolt for a VP 5.7 300-J using a PMGR starter.

Went to replace failed starter with PMGR style, existing unit is an old direct drive unit. Smooth sailing until new starter bolt broke on install. I'm not sure if its a cheap bolt or did the bolt bottom out? Searching the internet it could be either due to the difference in starter housings. Parts lookup and parts store both come back with different lengths.
Current bolts are 3/8-16x 4-5/16 Some say thats correct, some say 4-5/8 is correct.
I just want to be sure the kurnled area is properly seated and I don't break another bolt.

PMGR starters use shorter bolts than direct drive starters.

I can confirm, regardless of what the internet and some starter shops will say.
3/8-16 4-5/16 was to correct size.
The bolts that worked the best were GM part# 12338064
