I can't take credit for that picture, found it while doing a picture search in google, not even sure what I was looking for, just recognized the place and my boat.
This one looks more realistic, your basic gray, and no rainbow.

Hi,
I know this is an old thread but what was the resolution to your static oil draining issue?
I had the same thing occur this winter on a 2008 Trophty 2359 WA with a 5,0 Mercruiser engine. It is in the shop now and they will be pulling the engine next week. Was your problem the drain plug assembly?
I going to have all of the hoses replaced while it is out of the boat and the raw water pump will get a rebuild too.
Are there any other components that I should have them look at while it is out? Thanks!
