One of the distributor screws hole is broken on a 5.0 mecruicser MPI. I can't believe the top of the distributor is plastic. I read that there is a repair kit for $25 but don't have any details.
Has anyone heard off the repair? Any details would be great.
Thanks

Yep, they are made out of plastic. I did a repair by removing the remnents and bolting on a piece of starboard , shaping to fit and drilled and tapped a new hole

If you can fix it that’s good but a plastic distributor body and those infernal crab caps are 2 lousy ideas prepretrated on boat owners by either GM or Mercruiser!

Found a solution made for this issue. Not crazy about sheet metal screws. I'll try tapping out plate and using machine screws.
