5.0 Gi - need to bleed?

Four Winns H190 bought mid-season last year so this is first time summerizing. I winterized by draining block, manifolds and pumps so everything is now dry. Would like to fire it up and run it on muffs for a few minutes before taking it to the lake. If there's a problem I don't want to discover it at the ramp with a line of impatient bass fishermen waiting for me to get out of the way!

So the question is do I need to bleed air out of the cooling system or prime it in some way or do I just stick the muffs on, turn on the water and crank 'er up? And is there some visual verification that water is going where it needs to go (i.e., water coming from the exhaust or some other tell-tale) or does that only happen after the thermostat opens?

Thanks for any advice you can provide.

You don't need to bleed anything, just hook it up on muffs with full water pressure and start it up. It should suck the water up from the drive. If it doesn't, how old is the impeller? They should be replaced every other year at least. Volvo says yearly.
What's your full model number for your engine? Things do change from year to year, and year of the boat isn't always the year of your engine and drive.
