Took the 06 Q6 5.0 out for it`s first fishing trip today and it started and was running fine. I took it easy first couple hours,25-30mph but on the way in I decided to air it out a little. I took the throttle all the way forward and I felt a couple of bogs and what sounded like small backfires. I couldn`t believe it at first so I tried it again with same result.. when I brought it back to idle, she stalled. She started normally and I opened the engine compartment. At idle she sounded fine and when increasing throttle in neutral all normal, so I closed her up and jam the throttle forward as if skiing. Bog bog, small backfires. Any ideas out there? She was fully winterized last fall with stabilizer installed. All fluids changed and new plugs. A week ago I had her on the muffs for the first time this season to start her up and make sure she was running right. She was. Thats why I was so surprised today. Thx for all responses.
