What should be used for the 4x6 engine mount block? Pressure treated or not? Will resin adhere to pressure treated wood? Or would it be better to use non PT with CPES and fully encapsulate it?
Thanks,
James

I, personally, wouldn't use pressure treated.

I would use a known good hardwood. A plywood layup, with epoxy in between the layers, would be the strongest.

Kiln dried douglas fir, completely glassed in, preferably, with epoxy resin..

PT wood if'n its good & dry.. but it's only yellow pine.. good doug fir as per SNAPPERBAIT is the way i'd go.. least wise for engine mountin'..

or go crazy an sandwhich the doug fir between some ply..
