My tilt assist cylinder went bad, so for less money than buying a replacement cylinder, I purchased a CMC tilt/trim unit. The unit bolts up nicely and works great, but the tilt assist cylinder is not allowing the motor to go to the all the way down postition...just an inch or two shy of being trimmed all the way down. Is there a way to manually release pressure from that cylinder to allow the motor to trim all the way down?

Try he RELEASE valve on port side of the bracket. Open 1/2-1 turn.
