470 starter wires

hi can anyone help me out looking for the color codes for a late model 470 mercruiser starter and solenoid wiring which goes to what somebody took the wires off and i got the mess they cant fix help help thx

You should have a heavy red cable from the battery to the main large terminal, a red wire from the circuit breaker, and an orange wire from the voltage regulator to the same large terminal. You should have a red/yellow wire from the large terminal on the slave solenoid to the "S" terminal on the solenoid (small terminal at the 3 o-clock position). On the 470 the coil gets it's starting voltage (resistor wire bypass) from the slave solenoid, so that is not on the starter. I think that should do it.
