40amp vs 50amp Fuse

Hi everyone, I have a bad 50 amp push-to-reset fuse. I have a three battery bank system and each has their own fuse from the charger. I am having difficulty sourcing a 50amp fuse where I am, but have access to a 40. The battery charger is a 40amp one.

Anyone see issues with just using a 40??

If the fuse is for the charger then I see no issue with a 40 amp

I mean, worst case scenario is that it pops right?

Put it this way. You can put a 100 amp fuse in line and a 40 amp. The 40 amp will blow first

Hello, it is a Charles 5000 series 40amp. I attached a picture of the fuse setting as well.
