40 johnson sputter

I have a 92 40 johson that will not idle it runs great at 1/2 and full throttel. When I try to idle I get a poping or a sputter from one carb. I have trided changing plugs this hellped a little. Any suggestions would be appericated.

I'm not super familiar with this exact engine model but it sounds like your low speed carb jet could be clogged or adjusted improperly. It may be running great at 1/2 and full throttle because it is switching to the higher speed jets which are fine.
