40 HP Yamaha 2000 alarms for no apparent reason after a full day on the water. The water pump is working fine - engine alarms (steady), loses power and shakes. After a few minutes at idle you can go again. What are possible causes?
could be the motor is overheating and or low oil? check your thermostats and while you hav it off flush through with water; is this an oil injected motor? check oil levels; check your thermosensors and cdi.
