4 pontoons

I'm building a house boat I have a 30 ft Suntraker Party Hut. Now it's stripped to the cross members

So I have 46 inches in between the two pontoons. I want to add 2 18ft pontoons @22" in diameter

I'll be running a 45 hp motor .

Note : I plan Never to go on the plane. Because if I do. All my crap in the cabin till tip over and I don't feel like picking it up. So it's going to be a slow one .


What are your thoughts on having 4 pontoons

I'm going to take the center bunk out. Lay some flat metal down and which it up with a 6k Badland winch.

I think the 18'ers are to short. how do you plan to use them? I'd look for a 24 foot tube with a matching or slightly larger diameter of the the outer tubes. mount that even with the front of the outers.
that 45 hp will not be enough in the wind. but it will get you on the water.

Many house boats have only 50hp motors, so you're good there.
