4 hp Johnson

Recently bought a 2 cylinder 4 hp outboard. The quick disconnect for the fuel line (male fitting on motor) leaks badly and I want to replace it. The engine is a J4RESR, no idea what year of manufacture, serial number B 8436538 made in Belgium. Does anyone know where I can buy this ftting or is it generic? mrlevine1@comcast.net

Welcome to Iboats!<br /><br />It is generic to Johnson/Evinrude/OMC engines. You can get replacement from just about anywhere (including Walmart!), but the ones that last the longest are the Johnson/Evinrude dealer ones.<br /><br />FYI:<br />J - Johnson<br />4 - 4hp<br />R - Ropestart<br />ES - 1990<br />R - Meaningless model run code
