4 cly engine block 120 mercruiser

I;m currently looking for a 4cyl chev nova block to rebuild and install in my boat.Problem is i cant find a block anywhere.Anyone have any clue as where i might find this block.Restoring a 1968 bayliner discovery..Original block is cracked and unuseable.Outdrive is brand new..

Ayuh,.....Well, Forget the Chevy Nova part,+ start looking for a 2.5l Boat motor Block,.........<br />You'll have Better Luck........<br /><br />Mercruiser,... OMC,... And Volvo have All used the Same motor over the years,.....<br /><br />I've got a Plug & Play 3.0l Alpha 1 sitting on the garage floor that's looking for a New Home.............

I actually did find a 153 cu in. engine once in my local wreckers... what i forgot was that the valve seats were designed for leaded gas... and the cam was not very lumpy... reuse your marine cam<br /><br />I also have a complete engine - a "plug and play" 2.5 OMC, but the shipping would kill you..
