4.3L mercruiser will not stay running

1995 4.3L engine quit running. local mechanic changed ignition module. it ran 40<br />minutes & stopped. he changed sensor in distributor and it worked a couple of times.<br />now it starts & stops in less than a minute.<br />please advise of any possiblities.\<br />thanks...

I WOULD CHECK FOR A BAD OR LOOSE WIRE BUT<br />I DO NOT THINK THAT'S IT.<br />I WOULD GO BACK TO THE MODULE.<br />IF IT RUN GOOD AFTER CHANGING THE FIRST<br />IT SOULD TO ME THAT'S THE PLACE TO LOOK.<br />I HOPE YOU FIND IT.<br />GOOD LUCK REX
