4.3L Mercruiser horsepower

I havev't found a website yet to verify my HP on a 1997 Mercruiser 4.3L engine SN OK170939. Cust service at Mercury Marine verified it should be 190 hp with a 4 bbl but it has a 2 bbl. Other forums say the 2 bbl is 190 and the 4bbl is 205 or210 hp. Iboats boat specs say a 1997 Sea Ray 185 as this is say the engine supplied is 190 hp. What year did the horsepower change, 96 or 97?

You have a 1997 4.3LX, with Thunderbolt V ignition, with single piece exhaust manifolds, and an Alpha I Gen II outdrive, with out a remote oil filter and it's a Gen + engine.
The LX only had a 2bbl carb, the LHX had the 4bbl carb.
