4.3 runs great for about 30 minutes then bogs, pops won't accelerate

'n nowhere in yer 3 different threads(a violation of the posting rules, 'n guidelines), about the same problem, did you offer the vintage of the motor, nor a serial number,.....

It's still ain't the coil....ever. if I had $1 for every coil changed every year that wasn't the problem, I would be a billionaire. Only 3 coils out of 1 million changed are actually bad

Not cocky. Sorry if I called you out and you got your feeling hurt. None of you suggested the jumper needed to set the timing correctly in this engine. Bad advice from non mechanics is a lesson learned.

that is because its a given everyone knows that you jump the wire to set the timing.
the guys you are talking about are the best out there is when it comes to 4.3 Mercruiser , i take advice from these guys when given, be it the means to solving an issue or a stepping stone to solving an issue .
that is what forums are for , putting your issue out there, people with experience give comments for "" you"" to follow up on , then if that does not fix the problem continue the thread till a solution is found with you using your basic knowledge and advice given.
then "" without being cocky about it , post the solution you have so as it saves someone else in the future the effort of chasing a fix the that you went through.
it like calling up a mate 15 times in a day to work out an issue.

The part that makes you appear cocky, is this simply put:
you don't read a Merc shop manual....in the days before the instant advice internet, THAT, was how you learned, and it's still the best way, if you take the time to do so.
And nobody here is looking over your shoulder to see how you're doing this, or that...
That's how I learned and taught myself to adjust the tricky OMC Cobra shift linkage, read the manual, read everything I could find then took a whole day to do it, and got it 100% perfect to the point where it shifts as well as the nearly brand new Merc Alpha in my brother's nearly new boat! Knowledge is power and it doesn't all come from the 'net.

You have it wrong i was calling you out for being an arrogant jerk.

incorrect timing doesn’t just start acting up after 30 minutes...please go to another site with better experts. No one here has time for your BS
