4.3 Mercruiser

Hi- New to the forum. I have a 1990 Bayliner Capri 2050 and I cannot get the motor to turn over. The starter was original so I replaced it but still nothing. All that will happen is the fuse deal on the front top left of the motor will click. Any ideas or suggestions?

Would that be the circuit breaker with the red button or the slave solenoid with 4 wires?

Correct. That is the place where it is clicking.

Ayuh,.... I'd guess ya might have a dead short, or the breaker is bad,...

Try jumperin' 'round it,...

Actually, the slave solenoid is mounted right next to your push button circuit breaker, and is probably what you hear clicking with the key.

Hi again- One more question for you not related to the above. New owner so I'm pretty green. What maintenance would I need to do every year to the lower unit? Thanks again...
